What is your favorite part about working at Charity Search Group?
Working with a diverse team and learning from everyone’s experiences.
What does your job entail?
I do various tasks for CSG. I work on the CSG website to post new jobs. I also take exploratory calls with potential candidates who are seeking jobs.
What do you think makes Charity Search Group unique?
Diversity of the team. CSG consists of individuals from across the country who have their own expertise in different fields and areas of interest.
What’s one thing people don’t know about you that they would be surprised to find out?
People are usually surprised to know that I was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
How have you been involved in the nonprofit sector in the past?
I first became involved in the non-profit sector when I worked as a Development Officer for The Learning Partnership (TLP). I learned a lot about fundraising, relationship building and volunteer management while at TLP.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I like to read, listen to podcasts, and spend time with friends.
What causes are you passionate about?
I am passionate about mental health and the accessibility of resources and services.
What is the best career lesson you’ve learned so far?
The best career lesson I have learned is that it is okay to move on if a job is not working out for you after you’ve tried your best to adapt.
