What is your favorite part about working at Charity Search Group?
I am most excited to utilize my experience as a nonprofit professional to support organizations and individuals during their search. Being able to help make connections that will positively impact mission-driven work is so very rewarding.
What does your job entail?
As a Senior Search Consultant, I focus on business development. Additionally, I support recruitment activities for fundraising and nonprofit professionals.
What do you think makes Charity Search Group unique?
The leadership – Mariya Yurukova, has taken the time to assemble a team of highly qualified individual contributors, all with the right mix of skills, talent and experience to focus on the unique requirements of charitable organizations. Mariya also has a background deeply rooted in the nonprofit space, so the understanding and care synonymous with mission-driven organizations are felt at CSG.
What’s one thing people don’t know about you that they would be surprised to find out?
My family has an orange bearded dragon named Lizardo
How have you been involved in the nonprofit sector in the past?
My background in nonprofit spans more than two decades. I have worn many hats as staff, volunteer and board. Currently, I serve as the Executive Director of a Seattle area NPO and on the National Board of a youth-serving nonprofit organization.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I am relatively new to the mountain bike scene – but I love any time I can get on some flowy singletrack goodness.
What causes are you passionate about?
Service to marginalized communities.
What is the best career lesson you’ve learned so far?
To listen with care.
