The Development Officer for Direct Mail and Administration will contribute to ICMC’s overall fundraising strategy in the United States through supporting efficient and smooth operations. This may take the form of fund-raising data input and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, budgeting, and being the frontline of donor communications.


  • Prepare monthly donor communications, including direct mailing of over 16,000 letters per month;
  • Manage donor database;
  • Review vendor contracts on an annual basis to identify areas of cost-savings and/or better working relationships;
  • Maintain accounts and keeping them up-to-date;
  • Regularly communicate expenses and revenue to finance team;
  • Prepare materials for monthly expense audit for finance;
  • Support Development Coordinator in preparing fundraising reports;
  • Purchase office supplies and coordinating needs with fundraising team;
  • Liaise with facilities staff;
  • Serve as frontline for donor communications received via phone, e-mail, post, or office drop-ins;
  • Other duties as assigned



  • 1-2 years of related experience;
  • Associate degrees (required), Bachelor degree (preferred);
  • Experience using fundraising databases (Donor Perfect and relevant vendor formats) and Microsoft Office Suite (required);
  • Strong communication, writing, and editing skills;
  • Ability to work in a small team and manage multiple projects and deadlines;
  • Exceptional leadership and diplomatic skills;
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including collaboration within a multicultural environment;
  • Understanding of, and commitment to, the mission of ICMC; and
  • Basic understanding of, and respect for, the Catholic Church-related values and principles underlying ICMC’s humanitarian and advocacy activities;
