Director of Development, Arogya World
About Arogya World
Arogya World is a 501(c )(3) registered charity and global health non-profit organization working to prevent, non-communicable diseases (NDCs), through health education and lifestyle change. We engage with health leaders as well as individuals to help people lead healthier lives. Our mission is reflected in our very name – Arogya in Sanskrit means to live a life without disease.
India, particularly hard hit by NCDs, diseases like diabetes, heart disease, cancer and chronic lung diseases, is a major area of focus for us. Prevention is at the core of all our work. We are 11 years old and are aggressively scaling up our proven programs, and striving to educate millions of people on diabetes prevention, helping hundreds of thousands measurably improve their health. Our work is aligned with the Government of India’s priorities and we believe we can help India – and the world – meet the Sustainable Development Goals, especially Goal #3 (health and well-being for all). We have reached 6 million people in India to date with our prevention programs. We are part of the 2021 Google AI for Social Good program. Learn more about Arogya World on www.arogyaworld.org
